By accessing or using the SammySam web application ("the App") at sammy-sam.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
SammySam is a companion web application for European crochet kits. The App provides:
The App is designed to be used alongside physical crochet kits purchased separately from our Shopify store. A valid QR code (included with each kit) is required to access kit-specific instructions.
Creating an account is optional. The App works fully without an account, storing all data locally on your device. If you choose to create an account:
All content provided through the App — including but not limited to crochet patterns, video tutorials, written instructions, illustrations, and the App's design — is the intellectual property of SammySam and is protected by copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission. Purchasing a kit grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the accompanying instructions for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Any content you create while using the App (such as personal notes or photos of your projects) is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your own content. SammySam does not access, collect, or claim any rights over user-generated content.
All kit purchases are handled through our Shopify store and are subject to Shopify's Terms of Service. SammySam's return and refund policy is available on our Shopify store page. Under EU consumer protection law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases of unopened kits. Shopify Terms of Service
Crochet instructions, patterns, and tutorials are provided "as is" for informational and educational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, SammySam does not warrant that all instructions are free from errors.
SammySam is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the use of our crochet kits, tools, or instructions. Users are responsible for using crochet hooks and other tools safely and appropriately.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SammySam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude our liability for matters where liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including EU consumer protection regulations.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence within the European Union.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms on this page. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
